This is a project I developed with Nicolás Backal between 2018 and 2019. Nicolás was in charge of the architecture and I took on the responsibility of the interior design to collaborate on a residential apartment renovation in Santa Fe, Mexico City. This apartment was a penthouse located in one of the most promising neighborhoods of the city and had panoramic views of the area.
The project consisted of making a full renovation of the apartment, from layout re-definition to finishes and materials selection, furniture distribution, accessories, and more.
For this particular project, the needs of the owner were specific to the intended use of each area, since some spaces tend to have multiple uses depending on the time of the day. So, in order to accommodate this multi-use layout, we decided to use a versatile proposal that allowed elements to be used in various ways. Also, all the fixed-in cabinetry was carefully designed and custom-made to enhance the layout and spacial design of the apartment.
